Grassroots Democracy
All human beings must be allowed a say in decisions that affect their lives; no one should be subject to the will of another. We work to improve public participation in every aspect of government and seek to ensure that our public representatives are fully accountable to the people who elect them. We also work to create new types of political organizations that expand the process of participatory democracy by directly including citizens in decision-making.

Persons who become representatives of their constituents need to be in touch with their needs and issues. This is why holding regular town hall events in various locations around District 3 matters so much. It takes participation for your issues to be addressed in a manner which honors your interests.
Transparency when working with representatives is extremely important. If there’s a meeting with business people about development plans they are approaching the representative as the voice of the people – you! I’m interested in bringing you to the table when possible, and always bringing our community’s agreed priorities to the table. First this means hearing an agreed upon set of priorities. I hope you’ll see these in the platform presented. Comments and discussion are welcome!
